Lakshy ESTA Gold Winner: 29th Annual Chapter convention 2014 (CCQC 2014)
Quality Circle Forum of India, Pune Chapter had organized 29th Annual Chapter convention 2014 (CCQC2014) on 13 Sep 2014, this event was based on the Quality circle and allied concepts.
A Quality Circle is an employee participation approach of Japanese origin by ways of voluntary but formal participatory groups of employees, aimed at solving problems related to their own jobs, which are normally found in manufacturing environments.
A QC is a small group of employees doing similar or related work & meet regularly to identify, analyze, and solve product-quality ,production problems and to improve Operational excellence. This circle is a relatively autonomous unit (ideally about ten participant), usually led by a Supervisor or an Executive and organized as a work unit. The term QC derives from Deming's PDCA Cycle.
CCQC 2014 was an excellent platform for presenting the best of work done by various Esteem Organizations ( e.g. Telco, GAIL, Kirloskar Group, Forbes Marshall, Atlas Copco, Thermax, Honeywell, Cummins, Alfa Laval etc), from this event we got opportunities to learnt different case Studies on various Quality Concepts, including Quality Case Studies with different methodologies like TPM, PDCA, SIX SIGMA, SMED, POKA YOKE, KAIZEN and LEAN QUALITY CIRCLE. Based on the remarks from judges in that Chapter Convention, we come to know the level of project and presentations accepted for the National Convention.
To represent Our Company at CCQC 2014 was a life time opportunity for our cross functional Team named "Lakshya ",
Our Project was a case study in allied concepts, based on six sigma problem solving approach.
Our team includes various departments like Process Engineering (Mr.Madhav Kambale) , Maintenance (Mr.Manohar Kadam , Mr.Manoj Nikam) , Production (Mr.Balasaheb Olekar), Quality (Mr.Nitin Pawar) ,this was a unique opportunity for all of us to share our experience & learn.
Being a Six sigma Green Belt, I was eager to present my first Project in VCIPL on Six Sigma & am thankful to management for providing this great opportunity to us also to Mr. Mahesh Abhyankar (Director Operations), Mr.Satish Lengare (Six Sigma Black belt) , Mr. Umesh Bawiskar (Quality manager) & VCIPL Colleagues for mentoring us throughout this projects & making it a grand success
We as a Team were happy at the end our efforts have gain us the fruit in name of "GOLD WINNER ", we really felt proud with the Trophy in our hand and only one words comes to our mind –" Yeh Dil Mange More ".
